  • Pattern uses invdec for decreases, except where indicated.
  • Changing Color: insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, complete st with new yarn color. This applies to the bo sts in rnd 3; remember to complete st with new yarn color by pulling the new yarn color through all five loops of the bo.
  • To avoid clumps in the poly-fil when stuffing, pull out a handful at a time and pull apart to fluff.

Spikes

With emerald yarn

Insert hook at rnd 14, making sure it is centered on the back of the body, and pull up a loop. You will be working up the spine from bottom to top.

ch 1, *(hdc, dc, hdc) in same st, sl st up the next rnd; rep from * 6 times, placing your last spike between the beige bobble stitches.

Embroider the Mouth

Embroider mouth on the same row as the eyes, in a small “w” shape.

The sts may need to be smaller than you expect due to the small area.

Take care not to pull too tight to prevent the sts from disappearing into the body.
